Opportunity: BART Transit Career Ladders Training (TCLT) Program
BART Transit Career Ladders Training (TCLT) Program
I stumbled upon this opportunity at the DVC job fair last week. Even though it's very last minute, you still have time to submit an application to BART and apply to DVC or the other participating colleges. This is a perfect opportunity for those who would love a career at BART and aren't eligible for financial aid because the program is fully funded by BART. No experience needed. The program focuses on training in the electronics and electrical area and specifically targets training for BART job classifications of Electrician, Train Control Electronic Technician (TCET) and Transit Vehicle Electronic Technician (TVET). When speaking to a representative, they hinted at women and minorities having priority of the 85 spots. I also received information from one of the local colleges that they are still actively looking to fill slots. The last day to apply is April 29th so tell a homie and do so ASAP! Hit me if you need help applying urbanroyaltyincorporated @ gmail.com :)
Bay Area Community Colleges that have committed to join this effort: Diablo Valley College, Los Medanos College, Chabot College, College of San Mateo, City College of San Francisco
